The New “Free Calls” Service

The latest news about telecommunication technologies are very good and positive. Because of the lowering consuming in the EU, two of the biggest Telecom companies announced that from 2012 they will offer new type of service – free calls. How can this happen and who and how can take advantage of this sort of promotion, I will try to explain.

O2 and Orange decided that because of the economical situation in the EU and the way the new world financial system works, the services that would be most used are the international calls. Many companies, which offices were located in Europe moved to Asia, because the markets there are rapidly growing and therefore for the next several decades, this is where the big money will be and where the most important things will happen. Because of that, the international calls will be more and more used. However, this means also that the competition in the sector will increase even more and therefore it would be very hard for any company to get bigger part of the cake. So, what the two big companies decided is to draw more customers as giving them the chance to sign a contract for 1 or 2 years and with that to guarantee their future. However, in order for these customers to agree with the clauses in the contract they had to be impressed with something and this is when the free international calls came into view. This sort of service is what every possible customer is dreaming for – it is for free. But is it?

Well, actually it is free as long as you should not pay anything extra for the calls. The thing is though, you pay your month fee and the free minutes you get according to your contract can now be used for making free international calls, which I consider very good idea.

So, will that give the results that are expected we can only wait to see, but the income of the companies is already increasing.
