During the winter season and during the hard and complicated economic situation in the EU, many people experience huge stress and pressure. In order to escape from all that and to have some real relaxation, many Europeans look for a nice place to spend the holidays. However, this tourist destination needs to answer several important requirements:
it has to be cheap
good looking
the service should be on a decent level
the place should be exotic, because otherwise it can hardly be interesting
it needs to have interesting and if possible ancient history, because only this can keep the interest of the people from Europe, who are very experienced tourists and had seen many countries and cultures.

When considering this sort of vacation, there not many places where you can look. That is why I personally recommend you to call Thailand. This is a country with ancient history, the prices of the cheap bungalows start from 20 Euros, which is a vary low. You can visit different temples and forts, you can see the amazing culture with all the dances, dresses and gods of Thailand. However, the coin has 2 sides and if you decide to go there you will need to be prepared for several things.

The wet season
Most of the people who run bungalows or some sort of accommodation business close from the end of May to the late Oct. This is when most of the storms, the big population of mosquitoes is and when you may be really disappointed by your Thai experience.
So, if you want to travel and to be safe, you’d better visit Thailand during the European winter, because the summer there, is way from pleasant. After all this is a tropical area so big rains and lots of insects are all normal things.

The local food
Be prepared for the sea food which is most eaten there. The locals eat mainly fish, so make sure that you can eat these things. Of course, there are many international restaurants, but what would be the point in going to Thailand and not tasting the local food. Of course, you cannot eat these, you can always have an Italian or French meals or fast food.
