Meditating in Hotels Part 3
It is about how you value life and what it ultimately means to you. This where the hotel comes in useful again. It is like stripping myself of all my daily responsibilities once in a while and cashing it all in for someone else to take care of my body whilst sought to nourish my mind and soul. It’s like consolidating all my earthly responsibilities into one package in order to be able to manage their costs on my life better When I am in a hotel, the slaves are those who take care of my needs and resent it. My spiritual compatriots on the other hand are those who find joy in the work they do and see me as a challenge which can lead them to their job satisfaction. During the day, I sit in my room and read the Bible, usually musing with that notion which says Give And Ye Shall Receive. Sometimes I take a book and go down to the health suite. I swim, relax in the spa and even get myself a massage. I wander the streets exploring the town or city I am in. My phone is usually off. I avoid newspapers and prefer to read the state of the world through my own senses. There is a lot you can learn simply by observing the people you see around you going about their daily lives. The air in every part of every country will smell different. The leaves on the trees will have their own degree of abrasiveness, according to the amount of poverty, disease and angst that surround them. Hotels are not just places to sleep whilst on holidays or business trips, they can be places for contemplation too. The UK is full of these retreats, pick any Blackpool Pleasure Beach Hotels, UK Golf hotel; pick any.
